How do I set up Google Scholar to link to the full text of articles & ebooks available online in Skyline College Database Collections?

Answer

You can set up Google Scholar to check for full-text links to journal articles & ebooks available through Skyline College Library. If you are on campus or if you click the google scholar link in OneSearch (which should be able later this month), Google Scholar should recognize you as a Skyline College User and link you to the full text.

If you are working from an off-campus location you will need to manually activate Google Scholar Library Links:

1. Go to Google Scholar at https://scholar.google.com

2. Click  the Menu button --three lines in the upper left corner

3. Then click Settings.

4. Select Library links.

5. Search for Skyline College

6. Check Skyline College then click Save.

When you search google scholar, and full text is available through our Skyline College Subscriptions, you will see the Viewit@SkylineCollege OR Getit@SkylineCollege link under or next to information in google scholar search results. Sometimes the Viewit@SkylineCollege OR Getit@SkylineCollege is hidden behind the arrow.

Just click the arrow to see the Skyline College link, if available.

Note: Viewit@SkylineCollege indicates it is probably electronically available in our collections. Getit@SkylineCollege indicates it is might be available in our collections.
